Shortcuts That Make Level Design Easier
Objective: Explain the shortcuts to making level design easier in Unity
When it comes to level design is very time-consuming. Here are a few tips to help streamline this phase of your project.
Moving, rotating, or scaling an object in increments
When moving an object around you may need to move it one unit to the left. Hold down the CTRL key while moving and it will move in 0.25 unit increments.
Change pivot to Centre will rotate the objects to their combined centre.
Duplicate an Object(s)
Select an object and press CTRL + D to duplicate it (make a copy).
Vertex Snapping
You can move an object around by its corner vertex and snap it to another object's vertex by holding on to the V key.
With these tips, you can build out a level so much quicker!
