How to capture your game playing
Using Unity Recorder package
Objective: Capture high-quality videos and screenshots of the game playing
In this article, I will go through a handy package that comes in the box with Unity that doesn’t get enough praises. This is how I go about recording high-quality video and screenshots for my latest project that I want to share.
You are going to have to install the Unity Recorder package from the Package Manager.
Once installed, go to Window > General > Recorder > Recorder Window
Here we will specify where we want to store the video or images and the quality of the output. We are going to add a Movie recorder and leave the default settings. This will recorder a movie to a default Recordings folder in your project and name the file movie_<take number>.mp4. This will capture the Game View.
As soon as you press the START RECORDING button, it will play the game and start recording as soon as the game starts. Press the STOP RECORDING button when you are done.
Now just as you added a movie recorder, you can add an Image Sequence that will record images of your game and store them into the Recorder folder.
